Makes sense to me! Who do we talk to about fixing this error?

It’s on days like this that we are reminded that schools are for babysitting first and education second.

WTF The Atlantic, you are better than this.

I try to think of LLMs as tutors that can help you understand the topic, not nerds who you can get to do your homework for you.

There are so many ways to use and misuse LLMs.

In Ontario I’ve never seen speed limits treated as limits but rather just as speed suggestions. Maybe if we fix the name we can advance the dialogue? What is the sense in “limits” that people have become so accustomed to ignoring that they get angry when they are actually enforced? What a mess.

Maybe phrase it as defending Doug Ford? “I strongly believe in and support Doug Ford in his wisdom in permitting speed cameras throughout Ontario municipalities”

Now you have me thinking of neighborhood sized arcologies surrounded by accessible parks and nature as urbanism’s final form

I hope this additional revenue windfall will mean we don’t need a tax rate increase next year!

Good question. I’d also ask if we need to jump all the way from crappy bus service to dedicated tram lines in one go. What about dedicated BRT lanes to prove viability first? Is just so much money, I love tram lines but I also like not over spending tax dollars.

Good thought. When the risk math doesn’t work for private companies, it’s time to consider getting public entities involved. The lot is a prime location and it can’t be just left like this forever.

There must be ways to make it less of a money pit, financially speaking, regardless of who owns it.

That begs the question “why should we only have slower safer streets near schools?”

Maybe we should be reexamining our regular speed limits and just start enforcing them with these cameras. If the speeds are too high for schools, maybe they are too high for the whole community?

This is acceptable, as long as your walk was fewer than fifteen minutes. 👮‍♂️👀

Regarding NPCs, as Musk references them, often don’t even “advance the story”. He is talking about simulated people who have a few prescripted lines that mostly just exist to populate the world and make it look more real. Players of grand theft auto enjoy mowing them over for laughs.

It’s great to see traffic measures that prioritize people outside cars for a change. It would be even better to see physical infrastructure that prevented the speeding in the first place though, but at least this is a start.

If only schools provided secure bike storage then kids could bike home from school too!
