Fairy slippers are out in the PNW
Feels like spring might be around the corner in PNW. Heard one or two frogs and saw a snake on the path (poor guy was too cold to move this morning). This felt like a momentary repreive from the darkness out there. Hope you all are finding some moments like this too.

I love the Winter Solstice because it means the days are getting longer again. And we are getting closer to start of gardening season again. Caught this little guy sleeping in my flowers late last Spring.

I am fairly certain these are hedgehog mushrooms - but I know there are lookalikes. Not going to eat unless I'm sure but love the variety I'm finding this fall.

There was also much buzz about your wonderful books too! Our District is mostly using UFLI and your books have helped teachers (including me) figure out how to practically implement SoR in our classes. This was sitting on our table 🙂 during the session.

Benefits of living in the rainy pnw is hunting for mushrooms... some of my weekend haul isnpictured below. Couldn't believe I am still finding golden chantrelles. What a bounty! Pine mushrooms, winter chantrelles and lobster mushrooms too.

I love it you go to an all day literacy training and they give you a big box of decodables to bring to your school. Was so nice to learn along side like minded educators. #SOR
