Worked on a golf course for two summers just out of HS. There's a lot more than water use. I used many chemicals/insecticides/fertilizers and drove gas powered vehicles.
I have played golf. Many people play it, not just the 1%. But, it is one of the most input intensive systems (as are home lawns).

This is a video from The Weather Channel about Tuvalu. I have been on a number of islands and atolls in the Pacific. Some have had problems in the past and may one day disappear. Sad.

Last evening at the dog park some rain came through. After it passed, with a full moon across from the rain, I saw for the first time in my life a nighttime rainbow! 🌈
