Huge thanks to reader Sue for this fabulous five-star review of ‘End of a Century’:

‘It's a perfect book to take on holiday in the summer, or curl up with by the fire on cold, wintery nights. While the fire warms your body, the story will warm your heart!’

Not so much at that end of the town centre - that's pretty basic 1980s breezeblockism. The older part on the other side, though... now THAT'S brutalism!

At the dentist with Child No.2 - always a good excuse to enjoy one of my favourite parts of Glasgow, around Queen’s Park/Victoria Road.

'Part time-travel tale, part emotional rollercoaster, this is a beautiful read.' ✭✭✭✭✭ - Kat K, Amazon

Time travel. Love stories of all kinds. Paradoxes. Twists. Tears. A sprinkle of dark humour. 80s indie deep cuts. It's all here...

This one thinks I won't notice that she's just very slightly reworded bits of the Amazon blurb for my own book. I hate to think of the poor unworldly souls who actually get suckered by this stuff.

All you sceptics out will probably say 'Betty' is just a childishly incompetent scammer who's skimmed the Amazon blurb for 'How Soon Is Now?' and regurgitated it straight back at me with only minor changes, but I think she's totally legit and knows genius when she sees it.

Evie came to us from a dog shelter in Ukraine, and had to be treated for an injured leg after a Russian shell exploded just outside her shelter.
But, y’know, go ahead and make pointless bangs and flashes in the rain, all night, so she’s too scared to go outside.
