Obviously have no idea on what sort of money he was on. But considering his resurgence in the side, and the work permit dragging on for the new forward. Would have preferred to atleast keep a hold of him until after Aberdeen to not throw the new lad in the deep end.

Bringing on Halkett is a sub with logic behind it in rough conditions with balls expected in the box. But not for another defender. Has to be as an additional defender to shield Gordon from the horrid conditions in the box. Naive to reshuffle the backline that late on.
