What is fishy about asking this question, my friend? I’m in a modern art history class and our final is a moderated discussion on a topic of our choosing. So I choose to discuss with the class the value of art as well as how artists value (or don’t value) their own work.

ah ok this i've seen in some kickstarter comic projects, but yea the bidding aspect is novel. this would be a good lead into discussing how important community development/involvement is in powering these kinds of offerings. really appreciate the insight, Abby.

woah im not sure ive seen that before, u bid for the opportunity to commission? ive seen limited commission slot offerings before where its first come first serve, but not with a bidding system in place. def would like to share that info with my class

i hope so! what is the most you've seen advertised on a commission sheet. I've seen so many commission sheets capping out at $65 -$75 for a full character render. trying to find some way higher ones to serve as a relative comparison case study for class for how artists advertise their work.
