My heart tells me to go frolic in the great outdoors and do that 6 mile hike with my daughter.

Watching UFO and alien documentaries right now, and as much as I want to believe they are among us, this is probably their take on humanity...

I just tried sell my inverter generator at 11:30pm, under the dim lights of an empty Target parking lot, with no else around.

Wanna know what happened?

Today is my last day at Google. I joined as an intern almost 18 years ago, and it still feels like it was yesterday. I'm incredibly grateful that I got to work with so many amazing and talented folks, but I'm also excited to try something new. First step: a few months of travel and photography :)

As a child, I remember being homeless and miserable, sleeping in a van at a park across the street from my elementary school.

As a parent, I tried to subject my children to the same misery, making them sleep outside or in an RV. They call it "camping" and are excited for it. Spoiled turds.

So Google has a great deal with Synchrony where you apply for their financing and get 0% interest on a Pixel phone for 36 months.

Well, surprise! I have credit for an account that isn't even usable in their checkout flow. Doesn't even show up as an option.

Fair warning for you other folks.

I love that when I login to see what's happening on Bluesky, I get a full feed of @marawilson.bsky.social reposting of some quality random stuff. I love the spontaneity!
