Had the orientation week for studies in a University of Applied Sciences this week, and I must say that it is much more rigid and "school-like" when compared to a "regular" University. Uni > Uni of Applied Sciences.

Since it's been so difficult (read: impossible) to get a job in software development in my situation, I'm starting Engineering studies this autumn. The aim is to combine this with my knowledge in software development to be able to program for devices.

Man, it sucks so much that ML/PyTorch requiring stuff is so limited on anything other than NVIDIA GPUs.

Really feeling the pressure of doing something "bigger" and "better" as personal projects recently as I've observed/come across others, but at the same time I tell myself that I don't have the necessary hardware to build them (or the knowledge/resources in some cases).

27 today. Can't help but feel like a failure on so many avenues that I "should have" accomplished by now. Sure I have a Master's degree, but what benefit has that given me?

Built up a proof-of-concept system of IoT device management. I used .NET Web API, Identity, React, Angular, SQL Server, Azure Cosmos DB, Docker and Nginx for this project with Azure IoT Hub, Azure Function and an Arduino Nano 33 IoT. Full code can be found here: github.com/paavkar/IoTD....

Current software development landscape (here in Finland) has driven me to actually look into a path of getting into automation design or embedded systems. Would love to work with software interfacing with machines/devices.

It's just so frustrating trying to get a job (in software development) as a recent-ish graduate, especially if I'm at some level autistic (not diagnosed, trying to get tested).

Did the freeCodeCamp's "Machine Learning with Python" certification to learn some, how to do machine learning in practice with Python (TensorFlow). I did an introductory course to machine learning as a uni alumni, so this was a nice continuation to that.
