The Democrats might as well just go home. They have no say in anything now. On the other hand, Trump was never going to let them win. It is not in his DNA. He would let everyone starve first. He only cares about himself and he has the power. It was either going to go this way, or end the filibuster.

When I was a kid, ~70 years ago, I learned a few things that stuck with me. 1) That Europe and America fit together so they must have been one. 2) That if we burned all the oil the earth would become unhabitable. 3) That civilization moved westward from China to Europe to America and to China next.

Trump wants Democrats to just accept his big ugly bill. No compromise, total humiliation. If the D's cave, they might as well just to home. Compromise is the way things get done. If the R's don't know this, nothing gets done. That is the way it has to be.

Hey fellow Democrats. I have two suggestions:
1) Be the party of opportunity, not equality. People are struggling. Offer them hope. Then do something about it.
2) Don't take massively unpopular stands like allowing biological men to compete in girls sports. It is not fair to the other girls.

I just got a phone call from my daughter crying, hardly recognizable, saying she had been in an accident. I asked who this was and she said "your daughter". I asked what her name was and she hung up. My daughter was on a business call when I called her to check up on her.

My personal recession indicator is flashing red. My sailing based website historically gets more traffic when the economy is bad and more people go sailing. Page views up 32% this month. Revenue goes down when co's dont spend. Revenue -10% this month. Weekly data is even worse revenue -49% w/w.

The SCOTUS just said that a district court judge cannot overrule the POTUS beyond the case before them. They left open that a class action suit, which could represent all the people in the country, could overrule POTUS. How exactly is this going to work?

I am more than fine with Trump using the white elephant 747 gift for his personal use.
I think him flying around in a plane with anti-missile defence capability and the ability to re-fuel in flight to keep him out of harms way is completely unnecessary.
A real Air Force-1 is so overrated. /s

Why don't the news reports mention that Air Force 1 has missile defense and secure communications capability and the bribe plane would have to be completely rebuilt. Then rebuilt again to remove that when given to "the library".

It has been said that if you had your pick between a corrupt but competent politician and a morally upright incompetent one you would be better with the corrupt one.
Nobody ever talks about a corrupt incompetent one as a choice but here we are. And we picked this over a moral competent one.

You fought to keep transgender girls in women's sports and now, as a direct result I would argue, all transgender GIs, who have served honorable and without incidents, will be given dishonorable discharges. Happy? Keep supporting positions that 70% of people are against and this is what you get.

I get emails from B&H Photo. I see price cuts on stuff that is going to go up because of Tariffs. Did they stock up pre tariff and want to unload it before the Trump recession. Just wondering. I did not expect to see so much stuff at reduced price. I expected the opposite. What do you think?

Now the GOP is saying that they are NOT cutting Medicare, they are just not going to reimburse the states for the cost any more. So it would actually be the states that are cutting Medicare.

I just read that DOGE has saved $5 billion. That is a lot until you read that it cost $135 billion this year to get those savings.
Net, we destroyed a lot of government benefit and it cost us $130 billion to do it.
