Yeah, it's basically a VN or a point & click game, just in 3rd person. Themes aside, I really admire it for being tight. Nothing is wasted, nothing is out of place. In this regard it's on the same level as Bloodborne or Gurren Lagann

Cats can't handle intense smells. You can use essential oils as repellent. Get something you like, put a few drops on your bed, and it might just work. It would be nice and pleasant for you and unbearable for your cat

That's how I feel sometimes as well, and when I do, I either go full radio silence - router off, phone in airplane mode, or trick myself with inconvenience - like only allow yourself screen time when wearing specific pants, so it would be bothersome to change everytime

We do have huge vibro-tubs with forbidden bath salts. They use them for polishing things like bearing balls. It goes hard enough to scrape away steel but I bet it must feel real good against the skin too. Like having you whole body scrubbed by pumice rocks at once

You can even grind some bosses later on. Remember those old games where you're a fish and you have to eat progressively bigger fish to get bigger yourself? That's the idea here. You can get as big as you want

And if you don't like getting locked into attack animations you can get kill a bunch of scissor guys and get a short range sword that doesn't interrupt your movement AND it attacks like 10 times a second

I mean they remain active even if you unequid them. You can have all the game's passive library on you by the end of the game working at the same time

I also bounced off of Bloodstained the first time through. I replayed it recently and it finally clicked - there is nothing stopping you from gecoming huge. Grinding is easy and even kinda fun - and it's awlays rewarding. If you upgrade a passive to the max it will still remain active AND they stack

If you're still in the mood for metroidvanias maybe take a look at Bloodstained and Strider 2014. And, of course, Metroid Dread. Strider is especially relevant since it's also melee-focused
