I wouldn’t want to go down the RPG route because it’s just so time consuming. I’m thinking a few people play the game for a week and go as deep as they can, make some notes, set some targets and let the community loose. We then reconnect in a week to discuss. Maybe podcast style. Thoughts?

Good question. For “retro” I would consider anything pre-PSX but that’s a very loose definition. I would aim at retro games because they are quite hardware independent at this stage. Almost every modern device a can emulate them, so everyone with a little bit of technical know-how should be fine.
