I state the obvious
How much of this effort is a ploy to dilute the Trump Policy?

Two new(ish) players in the LNG market will only push prices down & weaken European dependence on Russian FF supply

And with:
-Non hazardous construction
-Abundant materials
-Round trip efficiency of 90%
-Cheap as chips tech
-Potential to boost with heat pumps

What’s not to like?

I would have thought the UK would prioritise actions which boost GDP:

Renewable electrical generators
Industrial electrification
Electric buses
Home PV
Home insulation
Rewrite building regs

As for the hard/expensive stuff, leave it for a bit & see how things progress

Will scrapage schemes guarantee wide spread use of the bike, people could scrap the car buy the bike & then buy a second car

BTW our Grandson (in primary school) refuses to ride on the pillion seat “it’s not safe gramps” (he is right) & there is no where to leave the bike for drop off, so we walk

Interesting idea, although if a family has already spent more than the price of a cargo bike buying a second car, would a cargo bike ever get used?

And how does the free cargo bike stack against the cycle to work scheme?

Me? I’m scared of casually becoming a RTI statistic so I stick to bike paths

Wherever there is selfish opportunity there is a greed to great it

So the essential justice is to identify the corrupt & to punish them accordingly

I don’t even like the term politician with the implied “manipulates the truth”, I far prefer the American term “Law Maker” highlighting their role

….

A strong stable and honest political structure is fundamental to shaping society (and I include you as a leading light)

Tragically I view society as increasingly fragmented, discordious & untrusting

We need a just Government to lead, unite & heal this fragile nation

Keep up the good fight

Interesting question

I’m more of the view that:

We are animals, basic in: selfish instincts, needs & desires and it is society which enshrines the values of honesty & community

The erosion of: the family unit, religious beliefs & a safe community all corrode society

Great to see the progress, I hope progress continues despite the efforts of the TANGOED TACO

Can’t build an honest country with corrupt politicians

In primary industries, things like:

Factories
People & Skills
Patents
Product testing & approvals
Supply lines
All take time

Vs with creative arts, it’s more a matter of

“right we’ll do it this way”

Whatever the situation there’s a drive to take people out of the equation & “bot” it instead

Seems fitting to repeat this

The underlying issue is Political Integrity, abundantly vacant from Reform UK

Political Promises, Positions & Policies should not be bluster, they must become pledges and those pledges hold consequence

The underlying issue is Political Integrity

How can a party bang the table, shout out injustice while in opposition & then go mute when they have authority to act?

Political Promises, Positions & Policies should not be bluster, they must become pledges and those pledges hold consequence

The transition to clean electricity in OZ is perhaps the closest the world gets to a demo for the route to net zero

Australia’s tremendous solar resource makes it perfect for solar PV, topped up with wind & buffered with battery storage (+ some hydro) makes it the Energy Market to follow
