Oh there was one bug like this in Gitea, guy kept sharing screenshots of the progress and then was like, eventually, oh well lost that patchset somewhere… But eventually the feature I think was re-made by someone else

I thought it was well-known. One of the weird things though: not sure if this stuff is sequential or not, need to look into that. I could have a thing take 40+ seconds there, but clearly it wasn’t stopping the boot process waiting for this, idk. Maybe the svg chart option would tell more?

They put users into test chambers and they’re trying to touch their screen like stupid, so then they design the OS to be used with touch… Even though like nobody sane will be doing that

It used to be originally that only Pro version had the official clickable option to use a local account, though not without guilt-tripping you into making one. But over time they made it all the same for both, and they keep tightening that even further. What an awful OS :)

“Pro” nowadays is just “Home but you paid more”, with the exception that AD joining and GPO editor are only available there so that companies are actually forced to pay up more.
Otherwise really nowadays all differences have dissipated, they treat them the same, they get the same anti-user shit

And it seems they want to use Stalwart (promising stack), which has JMAP support, and from the article it sounds like they'd want to adopt and expand that, which is great news (as IMAP really is dated, good luck downloading your e-mails on some spotty internet connection with that)
