Growing up I used to spend a lot of time in the US. We visited our aunt & uncle maybe 4 times a year. Now I will not step foot over the border.

There are Cdns who worry they will wake up to a manufactured security crisis as an excuse to invade our country. Do you realize Canada is now investing in a bigger military because the US is now the enemy we fear most. We don't trust the US. It's sad but true.

My closet relatives are American. My Cdn family came from PA. My husband turned down lucrative employment in the US bc he loved it just fine here. He was a cancer patient & if we lived in the US we'd lose our home. You just don't understand that we live a quasi socialist existence but it works.
