Norwich City supporter. Not much more to add really. 💛💚💛💚
If he's serious about the importance of integration maybe he should start in his own constituency which is more than 94% white.

It was issued in 2009 to commemorate the hundredth anniversary of his birth. He is one of the most polarising figures in modern Ukrainian history. He is revered by some as a freedom fighter and reviled by others as a fascist collaborator. As is often the case history is complex.

Not just the BBC but almost every main stream media outlet is also to blame. Farage deals in sound bites and click bait which he knows will get the attention of a sizeable proportion of the population even if what he says contains no substance. Unfortunately he is very good at it.

Peter, Peter, calm down, you're losing the plot. Our discussion is not about if BREXIT was a good thing but whether the BBC coverage at the time was balanced. I was and am a 100% Remainer but struggle to blame the BBC for giving equal coverage to both sides of what was a Yes/No decision.
July 13, 2025 at 9:15 PM
The BREXIT referendum took place on 23 June 2016

Douglas Carswell, MP for Clacton (Essex) resigned from UKIP and became an independent MP in March 2017.

Your analogy is ridiculous. I really don't understand why people do that, instead of arguing their point of view and opinion logically they undermine it by coming up with an absurd equivalence.
July 13, 2025 at 12:15 PM
p.s. Don't always believe AI. Douglas Carswell was the UKIP MP for Clacton (Essex) at the time of the BREXIT referendum.

I'm confused. Shouldn't the BBC be independent of political bias. Isn't that what we want. Why therefore should the coverage given mirror the views of the elected MPs. This was a 'Yes/No' referendum not a General Election so it seems logical that the BBC coverage should reflect that.

I take it you're not into classical music...

Sorry to be pedantic but the red diagonal cross of St Patrick for Ireland wasn't added to the Union flag until 1801, which was after their Independence Day. 😄

Save your real disgust for when Trump gives him a Presidential pardon.
June 27, 2025 at 8:25 PM
It seems to me that both Netanyahu and Putin have sussed Trump out, they don't take him seriously and are playing him. He's not a politician or diplomate he's just a TV celebrity playing the role of president with an ego the size of a planet and the brian the size of a pea.

Consequences don't just have to be militarily which have proved ineffective in the past. Economic warfare (sanctions) had forced Iran into direct talks with the US with regard to nuclear non proliferation which seemed to be going well until Netanyahu's preemptive intervention.
June 19, 2025 at 10:26 AM
Forced regime change seldom ends well (i.e. Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya). All arguably well intentioned and justified but just left breeding grounds for more extremists. It was the US who overthrew a democratically elected government in Iran and installed the Shar which led to the current situation.
June 19, 2025 at 9:56 AM
So what exactly are you trying to articulate?
June 1, 2025 at 7:49 PM
Oh dear. You can't see the logic, or are unable to engage in a rebuttal, of my argument so you resort to name calling. How pathetic is that.
June 1, 2025 at 7:30 PM
Thank you for putting everyone's mind at rest.
June 1, 2025 at 7:08 PM
That's your opinion. I happen to agree with you. But for those who are undecided, or believe otherwise that you want to persuade, the messenger is extremely important.
June 1, 2025 at 2:27 PM
Rightly or wrongly he's a divisive person. So if you want to put him forward as a spokesperson for any cause be aware that you will not be starting from a level playing field as a significant proportion of the UK population will make judgement based upon the messenger not the message.

Yeh look how well that worked out...
May 24, 2025 at 7:55 AM
So it's a shortlist of six. Kinda stretching the definition.😂
May 23, 2025 at 7:38 PM
You seemed to justify your premise by referencing 360-degree appraisals, that is to what I was responding.

As for the rest I agree with you. Very few things in life are binary.
May 1, 2025 at 4:17 PM
Laying down tools and not putting the effort in is not the same as a 360-degree appraisal.

For goodness sake get some perspective and take a break.
April 14, 2025 at 10:18 PM
My bad. Doing it on the back of a piece of paper I get like you:

Pld: 392, Win: 99, Draw: 105, Loss: 188, GF: 414, GA: 669, Points:402

So much for AI.
