He was a little more fortunate in that the landlord hadnt found a new tenant, and the old job was able to let him keep his position.

Had a friend in a similar situation. Had given notice to his landlord and previous job. Was preparing to move cities when the new employer announced they had lost funding and the studio was closing. Still find it baffling that they were interviewing people when they new this was a possibility.
