Wait, did something happen??
November 19, 2025 at 6:33 PM
Haha, yeah looks like it was a rotating heart, with a weird aliasing effect across pixels.
November 16, 2025 at 7:35 PM
It might be a heart, but the image didn't translate well to the weird spherical low-res triangle/hexagon display it has to show up on. Or, if it was rotating around the dome, sometimes shapes get distorted a bit as they rotate across the weird hexagonal pixels.

That miiight be the logo of one of the sponsor organizations, but I don't think so. Now I want to find out what the vision was for whatever the blob shape is!

Not exactly sure what that pattern is, but the colours are for the "Girls in STEAM Summit" today. Big special thing for students to meet and talk with women in high level science/tech careers.

First off, Rebecca, I'm sorry. It's funny, sure, but it must also be weird and scary. Second, on the record - I have had the misfortune of meeting Krauss a few times in the context of organizing science talk events. Based on these meetings, I am inclined to believe everything I've heard about him!!

Best of luck man, truly. We're all in this together. ❤️

We can say "oh what a buffoon to have fallen for so inartful a jape as this!" but it's fucking pointless to do so. Trump used the "satire" and won that exchange. The Dunning Kruger Times has so entirely failed to understand how debunking and misinfo work, it would be ironic if it weren't so sad.
November 10, 2025 at 8:24 PM
Did Trump fall for it? Maybe? Who cares though - he USED it. That site, that "satire," is entirely counterproductive. It's juvenile and naive to assume that writing false news, with a little link to a disclaimer, is in any way helpful. Trump and others use it, sans disclaer, to further their goals.

Ooh, I hate this though. That fake article isn't funny at all. The only joke is "I bet someone will actually believe this!" And... Yeah, good job, of course someone does. Its just fodder for more division and mistrust. Those who know can haughtily laugh at the dummies, but what does that accomplish?

A legacy to rival that of Uncle Yanoush.

This guy's conservative father.

He looks like Will Ferrell playing Tim Gunn in an SNL sketch.

This is likely a fake account spamming constantly for reactions and engagement.

Thanks for offering this silver lining.

Um, actually, nerves are the only thing that can think.

Lol truly pathetic.

I like science... I like reading about it and talking about it and thinking about it. I guess that means in a way all of the Nobel prizes for science are kinda mine, actually. Go me!
