Born in the UK now an Aussie 🦘living in the beautiful Northern Rivers NSW. Watching open-mouthed at how fast Democracy can disappear. If you can make me laugh I'll probably follow. Addicted to podcasts and word games and lover of seventies music.
Be careful! I inadvertently watched clips of Milkshake Man a few times while sharing the link to say how relieved I was - turns out it's super ear-wormy 🙀
Now I need to shake the shake ....

I know the solar takes hours and I can imagine the hand cranking could be a chore - I'd just like the option in case of battery failure - belt and braces but I'll be checking out D battery radios too..

Thanks for sharing. I'm ashamed that I was unaware that 220,000 had died in the tsunami in Sumatra 20 years ago.I'm not an American but hope that all of the recent axing of vital systems can be reversed - even if the administration is purely financially motivated such "cost-cutting" makes no sense.

Thank you for pointing this out.
Measles is a horrible combination of a very high R0 rate (R naught) and an ability to cause immune amnesia which can last for years - in addition to all the other harm the disease causes.

Given how precarious the world feels I'm seriously considering investing in one of those emergency models with a torch and hand crank. At this rate I'll be a full blown "prepper" by May 🥺

Given that this was only the second Tropical Cyclone in decades to threaten his constituency it makes one wonder what would make him "dishonour" the commitments - outbreak of war?
Thanks to this I've also found out that the commitment was to a Justin Hemmes shindig - even more annoying!

I've had fun imagining the Government imposing a filter based on their list. The law of unintended consequences could result in the "Scunthorpe problem" - if you can't use "sex" you'll get "tuplets" or "Sussex" becoming "Sus"!
Wikipedia has a great entry on this:

Apparently "woman" is ok though. There's not even any internal logic to their madness!
Apart from the misogyny I found one of the most disturbing "expression" - if they're trying to ban that they're trying to ban humanity.
