In eager anticipation of the new solo release from Riverside's Mariusz Duda dropping tomorrow, time to revisit some of his excellent earlier solo work.

Gave this gem a listen last night in honour of it's 4th birthday. Top drawer instrumental prog metal from the former Mors Principium Est guitarist.

Brilliant fusion from this Finnish collective.
November 14, 2023 at 9:01 PM
Some more funky fusion from this lot. Really a fun listen.

CD finally arrived and ripped. Well worth the wait and hassle!

All the talk of Tangerine Dream (who I am a big fan of) prompted some J-M Jarre.

Last up for today another go through this excellent recent release from Arena. What a catalogue they have!

Gorgeous album from the wonderful Solstice.
November 4, 2023 at 8:24 PM
Going back to this beauty earlier on this morning. Two titans of progressive music.
November 3, 2023 at 5:26 PM
All the talk about The Lamb earlier put me in the mood for some Genesis, and what better than this gorgeous piece of wistful progressive rock.
November 2, 2023 at 8:37 PM
Some really excellent funky jazzy fusion to wake me up this morning.
November 2, 2023 at 2:41 PM
Some classical to kick the day off. The music is gorgeous, and guitar playing is out of this world.
November 1, 2023 at 4:09 PM
Might as well keep with the Ben Allison theme this morning.
October 30, 2023 at 5:17 PM
Bassist Ben Allison has a fantastic catalog - this one from a few years ago is right up there.
October 30, 2023 at 4:17 PM
Perfect for a sunny Sunday afternoon. One of a pair of albums from Steve Rothery and Hannah Stobart - absolutely gorgeous.
October 29, 2023 at 9:45 PM
Fired up this great album yet again, probably her best so far.
October 29, 2023 at 4:35 PM
New Fish on Friday album really hits the spot 🔥🔥
October 27, 2023 at 10:29 PM
Another one from the archives this morning - the very wonderful Faldo's Toy. Such a shame they only put out two albums. This is top drawer jazz-rock.
October 25, 2023 at 4:03 PM
Reaching deep into the archives - this wonderful album is notable for the delectable "Arms of Mary"; also the band features the criminally under-appreciated Tim Renwick, whose tasteful guitar work adorns Al Stewart's "Year of the Cat" album and, arguably, makes that classic the masterpiece it is.

Subsignal's recent album A Poetry Of Rain is one of my AOTY contenders, but this one from 2018 is pretty damn good also.
October 24, 2023 at 3:59 PM
Inspired by @hungryforsound.bsky.social posting the Ross Jennings album, gone back to this stellar release from last year. New album coming November 10th.
October 21, 2023 at 5:06 PM
The new Ozrics album really is excellent. Obviously it's the Ozrics doing what they do, but they just do it so well! A stoater 😎
October 21, 2023 at 4:04 PM
Giving this fine release another run out this morning.
October 19, 2023 at 8:44 PM
Brilliant new release from these two legends.
