I’m just about to have a total knee replacement. It’s going to cost $4750 for the surgery. BUPA will pay $380 towards this. The anaesthetist fees are a little less but the Bupa contribution will be a similar ratio. In fairness apart from my $500 excess Bupa will pay for the hospital accommodation.
