That's what I'm hearing, and I don't think it's ever too late to build the numbers back up again.

The moment an AI tool can take on a task at high accuracy (not 100%, as we've unfortunately seen), a business will remove that task from all position. Repeat it enough and the positions start getting merged. If we end up with nothing but Tits'n'Guns mtx games I'll be mad.

It's stunningly delusional, and really sad. There's conversations to be had about the responsibility business has in what's happened over the last 5 years, but what happened to gamers appreciating what devs do. Feels like talking to crypto-bros instead of gamers sometimes.

The worst (ok, not worst, but still terrible) part as I look at some social circles is the lack of empathy from gamers. Fkn sucks for the devs getting the boot, but some people are giddy with excitement that "microsoft is failing", or slap the obnoxious "go woke go broke" into a post.

They look like a mercenary group from a Call of Duty game, not delegates of any official law enforcement group. Clearly telegraphing how they perceive themselves (at war, laws be damned).
