I clarified that the Digital ID (and anti-lockdown) protests cannot be reduced to the far-right. Certainly Reform UK are visible in the physical protests and on Telegram and they aim to capitalise on these protests but my research shows that the movement spans a wide range of political views. +

Using interviews and participant observation, we examined the emotions of anti-lockdown protesters towards news, information and misinformation sources and the political elite while exploring conspiracy coalitions in the protests and the larger affective anti-lockdown atmosphere.
