Given that today is National Seed Swap Day, I wanted to share a story I wrote about Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Company in 2023. This huge Ozarks-based business has made a massive impact on heirloom seeds -- locally and around the world.

Supporting art’s creation is so important. Look at these gorgeous pieces I just saw at Lucky Star Handmade, a new arts co-op in Yellville, Arkansas. They’re beautiful, but so is the time and talent that brought them to completion. We need more of this in our world today.

Few historical suspension bridges exist in Arkansas. One that remains is Haggard Ford Swinging Bridge near Harrison, which was finished in 1941. It closed in the ‘60s; today, it’s pedestrian-only.

I stopped by today. I’m not sure who owns or maintains it, but it appeared that visitors were welcome.
