it seems like the dev team are listening to feedback and concerns and are trying to make big sweeping changes to accomodate everyone/everything. I dont know if this would be the discord killer but in the least it seems like a good alternative for talking to immediate friend groups until we have-

So far, stoat is the most ease of transfer that I've seen, visually similar with familiar server setup. can do emojis, can make channels/categories supports vc tho I dont know how good (I dont use vc often so I wouldnt have much context anyway)
