The feeling you get when you progress or solve a hard puzzle is unbeatable and imo the biggest draw of such games. And there's no shame completing the game with numerous optional hard puzzles unsolved. That just incentivizes replays. The best rewards for hard puzzles is of course fat loot.

As for your question I would say hard puzzles are a must in this format of game. I don't even consider playing otherwise. There needs to be puzzles that require a keen eye, carrying obscure objects for extended periods of time, making notes and utilizing in-game knowledge and experience to solve.

Awesome. I love these types of games, but the realtime combat always felt clunky and abusable to me, so I tried to create a turnbased prototype myself, but things like ranged combat, traps etc. were hard problems to solve. Interested in seeing your approach here. I absolutely love Rampage Knights.

Haha, how did you postpone it that long? You've been working on this game for years, and you just now added it about a month before release? 😅 Surely you must have known it had to be there for a PC release, and being able to playtest without having to pick up the controller must be nice? 😋
