And by people, I mean me

The reason people say "just draw" is because your brain can only grow those ridges through the act. Immerse yourself in the habit of drawing. Watch tutorials, copy what you see, improvement comes with time and consistency. Even when it seems like you're not making progress, you actually are!

I recommend drawing things you like. If your brain is fixated on anything, art you're a fan of, shows, movies, try and draw. When I was starting out, I was copying. You can learn a lot by just copying. Don't worry about posting, just get in the habit of drawing things that interest you!
