The Oxford Policy Engagement Network (OPEN) Visiting Fellowship offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with researchers across the University of Oxford and explore fresh perspectives on today’s most pressing policy challenges.

Policy Professionals in previous cohorts have found great value in this opportunity to engage and exchange ideas & insights with academics, deeming it a 'brilliant opportunity' to understand how policy evidence shapes on 'the other side'.

Welcoming EOIS from researchers across @ox.ac.uk and policy professionals above or at the Senior Executive Officer level in the UK Civil Service or other bodies (i.e. the UK Parliament, devolved assemblies, local authorities, statutory bodies, civil society orgs). @caitlinhafferty.bsky.social

The scheme will match 30 researchers and 30 policy professionals at a similar career stage for six months, aiming to help them: (1) enhance their understanding of how research can inform policymaking; (2) expand and deepen their academic and policy networks; (3) strengthen leadership for engagement.

Taking turns as mentor and mentee, participants act as a sounding board, confidant(e), motivator, and source of challenge and feedback—helping clarify the culture, politics, and values of their respective environments. @annfielding.bsky.social
