She is also finalising a related book manuscript: 'Digital Vulnerability in Criminal Justice: Vulnerable people and communication technologies' (Palgrave Pivot, forthcoming 2025).

Associate Professor Carolyn McKay is recognised for her research into technologies in criminal justice. She is currently completing an Australian Research Council DECRA: 'The Digital Criminal Justice Project: Vulnerability and the Digital Subject'.

Her master’s studies and fieldwork were supported by a scholarship and research grant from the JN Tata Endowment. She completed her undergraduate degree in law and social sciences at NALSAR University of Law, India and graduated with a gold medal.

Shagun Bhargava is an Assistant Professor at the School of Law, BML Munjal University, India. She earned an MPhil in Criminological Research from the University of Cambridge, where she received a distinction on her thesis titled ‘Parole Decision-Making in Delhi’.

Scarlett’s research focuses on Intellectual Property laws, specifically patents, biotechnology, cellular agriculture and utilitarianism.

Katie researches socio-economic rights, such as the right to housing and the right to food, from a care ethics perspective. She is interested in exploring care as a means of redressing systemic socio-economic inequalities on the national and international level.

Clare Williams is an Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Birmingham. She completed her PhD at the University of London before undertaking an ESRC-SeNSS postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Kent and taking up appointment as a lecturer there.
