Match wrap | Oxford United 2 Millwall 2

'There are many ways to beat a goalkeeper; with accuracy, pace, over the top, bending away, Brannagan somehow combined each one to beat Max Crocombe in every conceivable way.'

Few anniversaries to mark in the Championship next year:

10th anniversary of our 2016 promotion
20th anniversary of our relegation to the Conference
30th anniversary of our 1996 promotion

Malcolm Shotton and Gary Briggs
Paul Moody and John Byrne
Mark Creighton and Jake Wright
Liam Sercombe and John Lundstram
David Hunt and Tom Newey

Some things are just meant to be together. The Glory Years and Mad Dog should be available in the club shop today.

I don’t know who their big grey fella is, but I reckon he might add a bit of pace to the game.

COMPETITION TIME!

To celebrate a whole week without mentioning The Glory Years, the rise of Oxford United in the 1980s, I'm giving away two signed copies in a prize draw...

Just repost to enter.

If you're not feeling lucky, you can buy it here:

This is the entirely correct way to celebrate a goal against your old club.

None of this 'respect the club' nonsense. I want your shirt off, in the stand, kissing your badge, mooning your old kit man and flicking the v's.

Well, Waterstones Oxford, this is very kind. A window and ground floor table display, plus a cheeky early sight of the Mickey Lewis book.

Should be available in Waterstones in Banbury, Witney and Didcot too.

No team in the last ten years has been relegated with our points total after 28 games.

From the Oxblogger Newsletter | Beauchamp's Powers

Every key moment in #oufc history is available on film for all eternity. Or is it? @dancurtis1972.bsky.social leapt into YouTube's archives to hunt for every Joey Beauchamp goal and (nearly) found them all.

If this was me, I reckon this is the exact moment I'd realise I have absolutely no idea how to land a backflip.

Nice discussion on the BBC website about the apocalyptic nightmare facing Manchester United if they were to be relegated.

Urgh, imagine them having to visit places like #oufc.

Nice to see Gary Rowett's bought a shirt already. Apparently he's got a ticket for tomorrow, so I guess he's an away membership holder. Must be a fan.

Everyone bangs on about the Milk Cup Final, but nobody talks about the last minute mistake by John Trewick at Loftus Road which led to John Aldridge's transfer to Liverpool.

Nobody apart from me in the book The Glory Years, out in January, available for pre-order.

New Pod - The Oxford United Team of League Two

It's the only debate in town; who should make Oxford United's Team of League Two. Skarz or Capaldi? Wright or Worley? Rigg or Whing?

And, who knows the most about Gary Waddock? There's one way to find out.

E16 - Team of League Two - "He's not Thierry Henry, he's Dean Smalley.'

Sorting the Worleys from the Smalleys we choose Oxford United's Team of League Two. A long punt on Peter Leven? Look up to Paul Futcher or just pick a team of Andy Whings?

In what is a major error of judgement, we thought the Christmas edition of the Oxblogger Podcast should include an 'ask us anything' section.

We're recording on the 4th December so either reply here or send a voice note to oxblogger@gmail.com with your question or a topic you want us to discuss.

RadOx not even trying here.

Surely it's 'DR Dr says "PK OK, back to the UK".

For anyone interested; this is where each promoted League One team was after 15 Championship games and where they eventually finished.

We are definitely in the zone of teams more likely to survive than go down.
