Flying Jumping Spider

What's scarier than a spider? A flying spider. Jumping spiders are pretty cute though so this balances it all out. #NMS (No Man's Sky)

Should I internet-enable this homemade #Arduino Uno R4 WiFi Magic 8 Ball shaker? “PROSPECT GOOD” it says.

Measure once. Cuss twice! 🤬😆

Here’s my first interlocking 3D print design. I learned a bit about overhang, fragile joints, and well, measuring. I have a great update printing soon.

I finished my daughter's Raspberry Pi RFID boombox project (a while ago, time flies). She loves it, and it helped me upgrade battery knowledge and a bit of 3D enclosure design. It makes use of a Pimoroni Pirate Audio board to manage sound and a cheap RFID reader. Code available if there's interest.

First custom keyboard ready to go! This will be a good test to see if I remember Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing…

Almost* finished with this Raspberry Pi RFID boombox.

The front plate of my mini RFID-triggered boombox is all hooked up! Working out the measurements in Blender was new yet I’m getting there. Sadly, I broke the Pirate Audio display while moving parts from the old plate to the new one (replacement in the mail). Now for the back and handle.

The RFID “cartridges” are turning out well for my Raspberry Pi boombox project.

I still need to add labels to the front to differentiate, yet moving along.

The mini Raspberry Pi boombox with custom 3D design is moving along splendidly (power cord doesn’t fit though… yet). ;)

These 2” speakers sound pretty good when attached to a Pimoroni Pirate Audio amp/display for Raspberry Pi (2 W pictured).

Now to transform this into a tactile musical experience for my little one who is excited to explore new genres.

I put my new hdmi screen to use, on the new box computer! This still has a long way to go before it becomes a cyberdeck, yet at least the screen ribbon isn’t flying around loosely.

I tend to make heavy use of the GPIO pins in my Pi projects. I can see making one of those PCs a Steam deck or kiosk though. I hadn’t thought about using them until seeing your video (mini PCs were worse at one point).

The new Pimoroni screen is in. The 5v Raspberry Pi cyberdeck project is slowly coming together. Next I need to figure out how to make use of a used GPS module that was once part of a drone dropped off at my makerspace. Then I’ll work out the acrylic cutting and 3D print portions.

The PiJuice is here! It’s a component for my portable Raspberry Pi cyberdeck. I’m still working out the design, yet have a few parts on hand to keep it real.

The most magical wand in all the kingdom...

It's not much, yet my daughter loves it and she helped guide the design and light patterns along the way (excited about building things in general, mission accomplished). 😊
