And to lay down your lightest colors first until you have an opaque base to be able to blend on smoothly (think of it like the way oil painters prep their canvas with a thin layer of white for everything to be able to blend on!)

That’s amazing! My art was really rough when I started out with them, that’s why I’ve only posted things from the past year. My biggest suggestion is to work on watercolor paper (if you are working on paper), because the oil won’t soak through as much as other papers because of how it’s made. Cont +
