If nothing else, it forces the photographer to slow way down and be so much more deliberate. Almost a meditative process- something we all need these days.

I started my career as a stage technician for theater and had two talents: being semi nocturnal and moving around silently (to the point where an old boss threatened to get me a bell). I used both qualities as a theater photographer, and it stuck: "animal that moves silently in the dark".

For those who don't know me, my name is Matt, a 30-something photographer from CT. Cosplay and performing arts are my normal focus, but happy to collaborate on all kinds of portrait and fashion work.
