I killed off the kid’s favorite funny npc.
Up until then, they had no real concept of stakes and consequences.
The way they immediately immersed in stunned grief and *got it*.
I helped them through the feelings and let it sit heavy.
Then I asked if anyone had anything to try and help… :)

Level up the pcs and use some cooler monsters and have more fun!

Sword Guy: as a reaction, attack a very close creature that Shield Guy defends against. Clear a stress for Shield Guy. Generate fear on a hit.
