The box art for Team 17's The Speris Legacy was illustrated by Mark Taylor. I'm not sure whether this is the same Mark Taylor (1941–2021) known for his involvement in the creation of Mattel’s Masters of the Universe (MOTU) franchise

American illustrator Greg Wray has confirmed for OVGA that he did the box art for the second game, Great Circus Mystery. I believe Greg may have also done the box art for the third game (released in Japan for SFC) but he doesn't remember perfectly and has given mixed answers

Yeah, probably not the most effective approach. The above ad (with 6 figures) appeared in GamePro 58 (May 1994). I'm realizing that there was a 7th illustration (surely also by Barry Jackson) that appeared in the following month's issue that continues the gag (GamePro 59, June 1994)

I've been trying to identify the intended usage for this Assassins Creed Origins artwork. I believe it was done for merchandising and the artist Kerry Gammill has also done sculpture designs. The artwork is ultimately preliminary, so despite the differences maybe its this? Any other ideas?

Advertising art by Barry Jackson (of Cool World fame) for the Super Nintendo title Equinox, an action adventure puzzle game and sequel to Solstice. Barry confirmed for OVGA that the six figures were all done on separate illustration boards

I don't believe the artist has been identified. The original image is by a Japanese artist (I think Kazumi Kakizaki) and then the image you asked about I believe was redone by a UK artist with the design firm Khartomb. However the specific artist that Khartomb hired remains a mystery

I doubt it ever was planned to have different art than this. If you have the license and your game is leaning on that IP to make sales, using the iconic imagery with Arnold makes sense (to me)

Figured it out! Those initials are MD and the artist is UK illustrator Mark Duffin. I reached out to Mark and he confirmed. Mark also did the Atari ST box art for Tempest

Mark Duffin has also been credited for illustrating the box art for Speed Hawk and for Jeff Minter's Photon Storm

As a big Sega guy, I'd love for the original art for the game box or ad art to surface

Turns out those initials are actually MD and the artist is UK illustrator Mark Duffin, who also did the Atari ST box art for Tempest, though Mark confirmed for OVGA that neither original painting was ever returned. Mark said both were a rush and had to be done overnight!

There is a visible signature on the U.S. releases of Mindscape's WWII game Into the Eagle's Nest. Can't quite make it out, but it could start "Au"

Anyone have any idea what video game this art is for? The art is by Paolo Pantalena and is dated 2013. The art looks pretty distinct, maybe a fighting game, but I don't recognize any of the characters. This is marked on CAF as an unknown video game illustration: www.comicartfans.com/GalleryPiece...
