Like it’s 2025 and there are 5 year olds in the crowd that know the moves. How? Who taught you?

Oh wow. Didn't know they made it that far south now. The fast food regional exchange is on. I think MI is getting a raising kanes

Overall there is the point that this might not even be legally enforceable. if this were to happen, you'd essentially have a monopoly restricting player movement. There's real smoke to this fire but there are still a ton of things to iron out.

OHL would lose some states but having exclusive rights to MI would more than make up for that. Q getting MA would be massive. WHL would still have access to LA Kings and Coyotes system plus keeping more western CA kids out of the USHL would be huge for them.

As a result they would need quite a few key states as exclusive in order to be viable. States like TX, MN, IL, FL, CT, MO, RI, NC, NJ, WI, ND, CO would supply the USHL with plenty of talent out programs such the Jr Stars, Jr Blues, Hurricanes, Chicago Mission, Mount Saint Charles, Shattuck etc.

See attached map. In this layout each of the 3 existing leagues get to keep rights to key states that allow them access to American talent. The Q are already looking to add teams in Maine and NH. OHL wants to add Muskegon (MI) and Youngstown (OH). USHL would have ZERO Canadian provinces to draw from

It was brought by reporter Kevin Dube that the USHL is heavily considering joining the CHL as a 4th league. How in the world would that work? There are hurdles such as how teams are constructed etc but more importantly what would the territory rights look like in that situation?
