They will contest it and if successful, will claim that they are owed another 4 years or 2 terms. Not that it will matter as they will make sure to skew the system to stay in power as long as they want to. Or their chosen Successors, as authoritarians usually do.

As messed up as I am I doubt I'd make it through a month. But would give it a good whirl anyway. Especially if the enemy is russia, I would dig especially deep to make them pay one way or another for what they have done to Ukraine and everyone else over their tenure
