short introduction done, lol. my twitter mutuals already know all of this, but I'm saying it again for everyone new.

hi! nice to meet you! hope you all enjoy whatever I feel like sharing —whatever series I'm obsessed with now.

I'm still in touch with some peers who are trying to stay on the professional side of this. and I really enjoy their art and I will share their stories with everyone and repost them a million times.

it's just... not for me anymore. I may come back at some point, but not in the short term, I think.

it was fun. it was healthy. it helped me rediscover what I love. it made me realise writing is supposed to be fun, not something to check off my daily list (laundry? done. dishes? done. writing? done. yeah).

so I'm now trying to reconnect with my passion (instead of turning it into a part-time job or whatever) and not let c4pitalism fck the thing I love the most (literature).

so yup. I've been only writing fanfics for a few years, except for a couple short stories here and there.

I also don't want to be on the professional side of writing/publishing right now.

I tried that for some time and it sucked all the joy out of the craft. I felt like I should write what the audience enjoys —not what /I/ do, and deadlines and word count also sucked.

that's why I call this a "fan account" instead of, idk, a writer account or whatever?

bc my brain is dead by the end of the day, I can only enjoy more "passive hobbies", like watching an anime or reading a novel (and I'm slow with that, too, because sometimes I'm so tired I have to reread entire paragraphs lol).

so that's what I mostly talk about.

I haven't written in a long time, though. I don't have much time and when I do I'm so exhausted I can't bring myself to write lol.

I spend quite a lot of my days at the computer, so opening a new G00gle Docs file doesn't feel like rest time to me anymore? I love writing, just not... that.

also, since I think some people are following me for that reason: I feel like I should clarify I'm /not/ an illustrator myself!

I just really like seeing everyone's art pieces, so I RT /a lot/ of artists, but I can't draw.

I do write, though. mostly fics, sometimes my own stuff with my OCs.
