No private sector business should be operating during a government shutdown. That will force Congress and the president to work together under the demand of the American people. Penalizing government workers is leaving them carrying the burden for the DC shenanigans

All businesses should be forced to close when government closes. That will force politicians back to the tables in a bipartisan way. It shouldn’t just be government workers who are paying the price for our non-functioning government.

One Heckler is not pushback on DeSantis. He had pushback from MAGA Reps in last session, he remains popular in the swamp of Fl. The stunt of Alligator Alcatraz put him back in headlines which was his goal after being exiled by Trump & Wiles. He flamed out on the National stage and the stunt worked.

Monetizing the cruelty. I am in Fl. An economy driven by construction, AG & hospitality. Immigrants are the majority labor force. It never made sense to me how they would reconcile the loss until it became obvious that they couldn’t deport them all & still function. It’s the next diabolical step.

I’m pretty confident that they’re soon going to use those detainees and lease them back to farms and construction sites to pay off “fines” and fill the labor gap. The $ to ‘for profit’ private prisons (aka GOP donors) is in containment not deportation. Coming soon is immigration chain gangs. Bet

Hence the big tax cuts?? Any way you slice it, it’s less money for individuals or businesses. If big businesses can absorb the costs they were gouging us (already knew this) and it will put down small businesses that don’t rely on comparable volume to produce profitability
