We have a sheltie and pit mix, and I've had pure pibbies in the past. Always the biggest babies. My girl now is scared of strange men, and loud noises, loves her little safety hat. I got Covid in 2022 despite being extremely cautious, masked, vaccinated, etc. My spouse brought it home from his work (even he was masked, but maybe during lunch or something, we'll never know.) I've since had it twice and yes, it has debilitated me immensely. Isolation didn't even save me.
