was making an HSV texture for the lighting and got distracted for 10+ minutes by the fact that GIMP has an "aneurysm" gradient and also has "nauseating headache" lol

Ok here we go! Figured out how to use a camera to record the video player, yeet the data to a rendertexture, and have it read and applied by a shader!

Hmm... can change the GOBO texture.. neat! Not sure how to change the ones the volumetric uses tho..

A mild attempt at recreating the wings of fire planet when I was still in that fandom.. I could not get the two continents working as a heightmap properly, so I just... made a random planet heightmap.

Taken in KSP in a different star system, part of the same mod I made a couple years ago... It is a few moons orbiting a contact binary rocky planet...
KSP stuff is at 1/10 real scale and that binary completes an orbit in half an hour

Vitrum orbits Tumidam, which is the second planet in this bright star system. This is the first planet, a Chthonian planet (gas giant with outer layers stripped). The core of a gas giant, well over three times the size of the KSP Earth analouge, 3.2g, 7atm, >900K (627C, 1160F), bathed in Bismuth.

Applied VRSL's asynchreadback to the ring animations, and edited the readback function to allow them to fully spin and have smoothing!
Just have to add full ring functionality and a couple of extra lights!
