Curse of Strahd tonight and again on Saturday (two different campaigns) and then 3rd year 5e Greyhawk campaign on Tuesday. (Not really the weekend but the definition of the graphic for me)

I struggle with this in person as one players rule mastery and desire to make sure everyone else makes the right decision has to be constantly quashed. In online play it’s worse because their assertiveness can be enabled by the technology, and harder for DM to turn off. This is when I round robin^2

They both went down with damage leaving the Paladin to resuscitate them. They tried and failed four consecutive times to stabilize the fighter, while the fighter and the rogue each made death saves with bonus because of Paladin’s aura. They both failed three times in a row.

I have been looking for a low overhead backup game to my two pincipal campaigns which are both 5e. Settled on SD because other GMs in our circle have been running the gambit of Deadlands, Mothership, and soon Outgunned I thought bring something else fantasy to the table.

I am having players roll at the table for their characters so they can be influenced by the other's decisions. Also just for building comradery. I have the blessing of a large pool of potential players ~10, but only 3 signed up for tonight so hoping their enjoyment generates interest.

I am realizing I should probably say what the setup is. We use Owlbear Rodeo for our ongoing 5e Strahd game, so I created a separate "Room" for shadowdark. Currently flirting with the SD extentions, but thinking I will just have players use pdfs of their character sheets and upload them to share.

Waiting to see how they surprise me and make the preparation for naught and fall back on the simplicity of the system.
