Love this kind of content!!

I'd also love to see @stephenfishbach.bsky.social give us a video essay like this from time to time... I think it'd be a great medium for him. And it's a long wait between know-it-all episodes 😅

Who were you most surprised by?

If this is the result then fine but I need the show to tell me why! Make it make sense.

I actually think the social scenes like this have been some of the strongest parts. The strategy storytelling has been crap, but I like a little bit like this.

Totally agree.

What's so weird about this season is that Joe and Eva are dominating, but all we're shown is how they're messing up and all the false starts from the opposition.

I’m not getting the groundwork I need to feel satisfied with this season’s winner — even if it’s Joe or Eva.

If it’s someone else, I’ll still feel like this season wasted my time by focusing on the false starts — instead of a dominant game overthrown by rebel forces at the last possible moment.

On the Why ___ Lost podcast, RHAP’s @davidbloomberg.bsky.social and @jessicalewis89.bsky.social do a great job at analyzing the missteps that led each players torch to be snuffed. But at the end of the season, I want to understand Why ____ Won.

But I don’t want an illusion. I want to arrive at the end of a story with an idea of how I got there. Instead, I’m getting the story of how Survivor 48 could have gone… But I don’t know how it’s really going.

Every beat this season seems to lay the groundwork for a revolution. And I’m left wondering why the producers would invest so heavily in a story that leaves the audience disappointed and the balance of power unchanged.
May 14, 2025 at 4:54 PM
Totally agree with this, especially this season! It’s just bad tv to consistently see the blindside they’re teasing not happen

The five-person bloc possibility is pretty interesting, in part because it opens the door to a vote split (anticipating Eva playing her idol).

But I'll settle for any combination that flips this game on its head! Have you seen @robsfactchecker.bsky.social's sentiment polling??

This week, I decided to be the eternal optimist I am and ASSUME we're getting a Joe/Eva blindside this week.

I then wrote about three voting blocs that could make that happen:

- Kamilla, Kyle, Mary, Mitch
- Kamilla, Shauhin, Mary, Mitch
- Kamilla, Kyle, Shauhin, Mary, Mitch

Agreed, but if Kyle never turns on Joe, I think we’ll look back on the small moves strategy — never big ones — as a major reason why he lost.

Who’s not serious? David?

Surprised at the shade, lol 😅
