Working on my first ever #loomknitting project. A figure of 8 stitch blanket that I hope to put together in 2 panels as this is the only loom I seem comfortable with. Will it work? I don't know, am I having fun learning to knit this way? Oh yeah! 😉

I finally got the #Embroidery finished and then stitched it around the card ready to frame tomorrow only to find I've put the card the wrong way round 🤣 First ever embroidery design

Round 2, took the clock out as it was too fiddly and added the date July 2nd 1981 in its place and changed the fonts in the Crests. Luckily fits the new #embroidery frame fully this time 😉

Guess John & Emma both moved to Salford together as evidenced by both of their marriages. I'm now wondering if he is only the father of Emma and so legally took her or he abandoned them all as Catherine wasn't his legal wife until 1894

Thank you, at the moment I'm just working on this little thing for visual help. Local library suggest name change could be due to escaping something as a Button. If the name was a drastic change I'd believe it but not by changing 1 letter

That one is correct, looks like it may be Button. Cannot be a coincidence on this one surely?

it gets much worse now. Florence is only down as Florrie within the books (which might explain why the GRO have given me a refund for the digital image being impossible to find). The marriage certificate has been dispatched so hopefully I'll have answers on that in the next few days

It's the daughter Hilda that started this. Her 1921 census stated father deceased but I could never find it so assumed divorce. Someone else found it today as Button & I found a matching birth. GWB's death has Portland Place as address- same as Florence's address in later life.
