The bill lists as an excemption precocious puberty with this absurd language, “An individual diagnosed with precocious puberty, to the extent such genital or bodily mutilation or chemical castration is for the purpose of normalizing puberty” 4/?

This bill claims that puberty blockers are a form of chemical castration. Because blockers pause the changes of puberty, a CHILD who is taking them would not be capable of reproduction while taking the medication, which is REVERSIBLE.

For background, puberty blockers (GnRH agonists) effectively pause the physical changes of puberty, allowing children and families more time before committing to hormone therapy or allowing natal puberty to proceed. Puberty blockers are reversible. 2/?

Docs can run around injecting unregulated, compounded substances without any semblance of a drug trial trial for whatever indication… but life-saving gender-affirming care for kids is being criminalized despite consensus of every major medical society. 🫩 Sometimes I hate it here.
