Truth is I’ve been angry a really long time. Angry watching the survivors of the Battle of Kamdesh struggle with divorce, addiction, mental health, suicide, life after service. While people who were “reprimanded” continue on to have successful and fulfilling military careers. Karma isn’t fast enough

I feel like people don’t understand how this works: why would someone need to be hospitalized for a mental health concern? Because you need medical attention. Suicidal/homicidal ideation, monitoring while in an acute mental health crisis, and/or stabilizing on medication.
