In 1925, Eve Adams risked all to write and publish a book titled Lesbian Love. Two years later, she was deported following an obscenity trial. In 1943, she was murdered by Nazis in Auschwitz.

We’re thinking today of Urvashi Vaid, who passed on this day three years ago. Vaid was a leading LGBTQ activist of the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries and was the executive director of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force from 1989-1992.
