The 2025 data show that trust in the government remains low, with only 33% of Americans sharing that they trust the government.
While this number is still low and confirms a continued crisis, it is an increase from 2024, when only 23% of Americans trusted the government.

The survey results show that a majority of the public oppose DOGE and cuts to the federal workforce and programs, and that the public is paying close attention to the administration's changes, paying more attention to the news about the cuts than news stories in general.
