This coastal #oldgrowth #forest on #publiclands is what the timber industry commonly refers to as “shelf stock.” I.e. our forests just waiting to be cut for private profit.

#Forests regenerate naturally after #wildfire. Forests don’t need our “help.” These seedlings in #Wilderness established themselves and they are far more likely to survive over the long run than human planted seedlings. Native genetics and site-adapted.
