It's that time again... Route plotting for our 3+ day sail back to the states.

We've been quiet lately. We're on our last leg of this Bahamas journey. Currently safely tied up at a marina on Green Turtle Cay until we get a good weather window to cross back to the states.

Until then. We have nothing to do but soak it in.

Made it back around "The Whale" 🐋 and have settled in at Green Turtle Cay.

Our trip back to the US and north starts now. We have a window to cross "the whale" so we're taking it. We will wait out weather and whatever else over the next few weeks as we pick a window to cross back to the states.

With 2 of 3 months in The Bahamas behind us we turn back north. 30 more days until they kick us out.
A clear day sailing. Calm teal water. Sail trimmed to the wind. Blue sky. A person drives a boat. Using a phone and an ipad and the boat charts to navigate and run autopilot.

Hope Town Harbour had a lovely light show last night and luckily there's been no reported boat strikes. Nymeria, one of the masts on the right, enjoyed the gentle rain and light breeze that accompanied the show.

We've been hunkered down in 25+kts of wind for the last few days. We're over it.

Nymeria has been holding well with 100ft of chain, but we had to help rescue our neighbors this morning because they were dragging.

Supposed to settle down tonight. 🤞

We've spent the last few days wandering Elbow Cay and Hope Town. Definitely a must stop area in the Abacos.

We're hunkered down an anchor tonight, we have a few days of wind to look forward to.

Always enjoy our chess matches at the beach. When in no hurry to get anywhere, might as well play a game.

So far this season of beach chess sits tied.

It's great to be back in Civilization. We spent the last week on quiet islands. Now that we're at Green Turtle Cay we can live large for a few days.

Cruisers are the best.

Last night, all the boats at this anchorage got together and had a bonfire on the beach. Fun for all.

Today, as I'm making water so we can stay longer, our water-maker pump failed.

Dinghy over to neighbors boat that we met last night, and sure enough he had a spare part.
