I had the opportunity to create several custom visual effects for Mimic Hunt, a game developed by a team from the ENJMIN master's program.

This is still a work in progress, and I’d love to hear your thoughts! For the next version, I plan to:

✔ Add deformation effects for a stronger gravitational pull
✔ Improve the readability of the climax, which still feels a bit messy

Each phase was really interesting to make:

Warning phase – A brief moment before the attack is unleashed
Anticipation phase – Energy gathering before impact (the most inspiring part of the anime)
Climax phase – The full destructive force in action
Dissipation phase – The remnants slowly fading away

I really love the Frieren anime, especially the final battle, which completely stunned me with its incredible VFX. So, I wanted to recreate the iconic black hole from that fight in Unreal Engine, bringing it to life in 3D!
